Manager Mike Philbin has been involved in the shooting sports for over 40 years starting back in the '60's when he cleaned dog runs to earn money to buy .22LR. ammo to shoot on his Grandfather's farm. Mike is originally from this area but migrated to Texas where he resided in San Antonio for many years. While pursuing a 20 year career in the aviation industry, Mike continued to be involved with shooting. He held an FFL for 13 years in Michigan and Texas and worked part time at Dietz's Gun Store and Range and Don's Gun Shop in San Antonio.
Mr. Mike is a Certified NRA Instructor and has been reloading since the '70's including rifle, handgun and shotgun ammo.
Mike's aviation career brought him back to this area several years ago. He has been a long time member and memorable character at TTS. Mike says his fondest wish is that" they would make a men's cologne that smells like Hoppe's #9 or WD-40!"
